Jesus Christ on a Crush - do NOT download AIM. EVER. My account wasn't working, so I thought it was Trillian. I downloaded AIM to check out the problem. Bad idea. I got 14, count 'em, 14 forien files of AOL software I did NOT agree to (I checked the privacy statement again.) I'm still cleaning it all up, doing searches and unistals. How pompus can a company get when they put shortcuts to "TRY AOL NOW!" in your damn "My Documents" folder?! I FRIGGEN HATE AOL!

The only thing AOL is good for is distributing their discs to be used as free frisibies or even sometimes skeet. I had times I considered throwing the free discs I'd get at the golfers behind my house for fun.

Good idea. Also - Anyone with AIM, do yourself a favour. Click start, click run. Type in MSCONFIG and hit enter. Go to "services." Click "Hide all Microsoft Services." Look for a service called "CISV80h" And uncheck it and SMITE it. It's an AOL dataminer set up as a service instead of a seperate bot. KILL!

I don't have that service, and I've got AOL's messenger. Don't have any of their other shit either, just the messenger.

Yeah, sorry, I think I'll stick with my non-shit version of AOL. I'm using a wicked old version before they changed it all. It looks like shit, but it's nice and simple.

You should try Trillian. Don't need ANYTHING of AOL's expect an AIM screen name.

Nah, I can't use trillian. I've got a couple accounts on all the messengers I use, and I can't switch between the ones I need easily enough with trillian.

I use AIM because of its simplicity but I would never use AOL as its just a search engine. Have you ever noticed that you need a "keyword" never get AOL.

Obviously, man. Every human being with a single strand of sense in their head realizes to stay far, FAR away from AOL. The only people I know who use AOL are geezers who don't know better.

I use AOL. In the sense that I huck the disks at people to smite them. AOL gives me free weapons monthly almost.
